Christians must always contend with false teaching and false Christians. Jesus said so. There is nothing wrong with the good seed that Christ sows. The pure Gospel rightly proclaimed produces faithful Christians, but the devil deliberately sows bad seed where the good seed has been sown.

Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them.

Matthew 6:26

Birds are one of God’s most beautiful creations. Looking out our window, I can see a whole community of birds — goldfinches, robins, bald eagles, Baltimore orioles, and chickadees. Each has its own color, song, and eating level. At the end of Matthew 6:26, Jesus says of birds, “they neither sow nor reap … and yet your heavenly Father feeds them.”
