Put your love into action.
Little children, let us not love in word or talk but in deed and in truth. 1 John 3:18

The Apostle John’s words are a wonderful reminder to all of us about the importance of putting our love into action! But how? While we have many words of comfort to share with those in difficult situations, we don’t always know what to do.

As part of Worship Anew’s Care Ministry, the care package program provides an opportunity to do something tangible for aging adults who are hurting, as well as those who are caring for them. These care packages remind them they are loved and not alone.

Each package is custom packed and prayed over by a team of volunteers. They include a comfort item (blanket or slippers), a coffee mug and a beverage (coffee, tea, hot chocolate, or lemonade), an activity (crossword puzzle, word search, Sudoku, coloring book, puzzle, game, or journal), and spiritual resources, including the Hope-Full Living devotional.

In keeping with our mission of engaging and equipping aging adults with resources to live a full and abundant life in Jesus Christ, we will only send care packages ordered for another aging adult who is hurting (i.e. shut-in, lonely, ill, or grieving) or someone caring for them. Please click here to learn more about who to send care packages to, when to send them, and other frequently asked questions.

When you place your order, you will be given the opportunity to give an optional donation in the amount of your choice. Your generous donations make it possible for us to continue this ministry!

Donations of items to go in the care packages are also appreciated. To help us manage our inventory and ensure all donated items meet the requirements of shipping and the mission of the care ministry, we ask that you please make all donations through our gift registry by clicking here.
