“... Our Father in Heaven ...”
Matthew 6:9
What are your thoughts about prayer? Do any of these resonate with you? Some people only ask the Pastor to pray for them, since they think he has a direct connection to God. Others are afraid to pray because they feel insignificant. Some feel it does no good to pray. And the rest willingly pray for themselves and others.
Prayer is something everyone can do at any time and in any place. There are no special skills needed. Though, we must realize, God is not a heavenly vending machine, dispensing our every prayer request. I often hear there are three answers to prayer: yes, no, or wait. God can grant the request, refuse to grant it, or shape us as we wait for an answer.

Dear Father, help me to pray to you trusting that you will answer in the best way for me. Amen.
Reflect: Keep a prayer journal to write down prayers. Note how God answers them.
