Wisdom Spots

... for wisdom is better than jewels, and all that you may desire cannot compare with her.

Proverbs 8:11

Being a “glass-half-full” type of woman, I’ve noticed two “spots” that have changed as I age: My bedside and my arms. I never thought about my bedside until recently, but prior to getting out of bed for the day, sitting on my bedside for a moment has become necessary. I dubbed it my “wisdom spot” where I pause and have my “morning moment” with Jesus. He refreshes me with rest, so I’ll honor him with my first thought of the day.

And the second spot? My arms which have emerging, unwelcome guests ... those dreaded age spots! I simply renamed them my “wisdom spots,” as each of them reflect the decades of wisdom I’ve gained from serving and obeying our wonderful Savior, Jesus.

Dianna Hitchler

Wise Savior, thank you for the “spots” in my life that remind me to praise you for my countless blessings. Amen.

Reflect: Create intentional “spots” in your home where Jesus will be praised daily.

Read: Proverbs 2:6-15 and Proverbs 8:1-17
