The heart of man plans his way, but the Lord establishes his steps.

Proverbs 16:9

People are planners. They plan for the current day, week, month, or year. They may plan for some needed chores or family events, especially a vacation. No doubt, as we age, our plans include medical visits, rehabilitation stays, or hospital treatments.

We can plan everything to the smallest detail, BUT something may interrupt the plan. We then, no doubt, get upset and say, “Now what should we do?” It is exactly at that time we need to take a breath and realize who our master planner is, GOD! The Lord promises that he has a plan for us. A plan to prosper us and not to harm us.

Don Hollmann

Everlasting Father, never let us forget to take comfort knowing that you are the One who has planned our life, both the good times and the challenging times. Amen.

Reflect: In our good and bad times remember God is our life guide.
