Walk With Jesus

... forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead ...

Philippians 3:13b

Walking a treadmill, I put one foot in front of the other and I’m still in the very same place. Sin can cause people to get stuck. Some follow all the “rules,” thinking they measure up, perhaps look at others and judge them. Some live in the defeat and despair of regrets. Pride or despair, God loves us and doesn’t intend for us to live in either state. Jesus took our sins of pride and despair. He died for our sins, a costly sacrifice. And it
is finished. Forget the past, walk in the freedom of a future forgiven and loved by God. He knows us better than we know ourselves and even still, he loves us.

Nancy Rapp
St. Louis, MO

Dear Jesus, you are the way, the truth, and the life. Walk with us, guiding us by your love. Amen.

Reflect: Smile! You are forgiven and loved by your Father in heaven. Relish this glorious truth!

Read: 1 Peter 2:21 and Psalm 23
