For while bodily training is of some value, godliness is of value in every way.
1 Timothy 4:8
“Use it or lose it.” This often refers to physical exercise. It is meant to motivate us to walk, run, swim laps, lift weights, etc. Many of us, as we age, develop physical ailments, and are limited. Sometimes there is very little we can do anymore — but even something little, if possible, is better than nothing.
This same principle applies to our spiritual life. If we become lax in daily prayer, Bible reading, tithes and offerings, attending church, and acts of service (as able), we can slip into a pattern of living that way. We begin losing touch with God. We must use these resources to keep our spiritual lives active. When we do, we reap blessings that will carry us into eternity.

Lord, may I daily, to the best of my ability, thank, praise, serve, and obey you. Amen.
Reflect: What am I doing for, and giving to, God and others for what he has given me?
