… your words became to me a joy and the delight of my heart …
Jeremiah 15:16
In our hurry-up world we often tell ourselves, “I cannot add one more thing to my already busy schedule.” The biblical narrative of Mary and Martha serves to inform our priorities. Martha busied herself being a gracious hostess, while Mary chose instead to sit at the feet of Jesus. Martha’s choice was well-meaning, as she worked graciously to serve a special guest. However, Mary prioritized time set-aside to learn from the Master Teacher. As we busily go about our daily lives, let us first prioritize quiet time spent learning from the Master Teacher, applying lessons learned to our lives. Then, walking in step with our Savior, serving others in his name, let us celebrate his undeserved love while generously living and sharing his grace in word and action.

Loving Savior, guide me to begin and end each day celebrating your undeserved love; daily living and sharing your amazing grace in word and action with others. Amen.
