The Mind of Christ

“For who has understood the mind of the Lord so as to instruct him?” But we have the mind of Christ.

1 Corinthians 2:16

Have you ever forgotten why you went into a room? It’s happened to me many times. Sometimes I feel like this when my mind is overstuffed with the wrong things.

What a wonderful truth to ponder — when we are true believers, we have the mind of Christ. He transforms our thoughts through the power of the Holy Spirit, who instructs and teaches us about God’s Word. He also guides us about how to think, which affects how we live.

It’s comforting to know that our minds belong to Christ, and he is conforming them day by day to his likeness. If you ever feel frustrated about wandering thoughts, you can ask God to help you get back on track. He will gladly replace your negative thoughts with positive ones based on his Word.

Sarah Geringer
Jackson, MO

Lord, make my mind more like yours. Amen.

Reflect: Memorize a scripture verse each week to make your mind more like Christ.

Read: Proverbs 28:26 and Romans 8:5-6
