O Lord, be gracious to us; we wait for you. Be our arm every morning, our salvation in the time of trouble.
Isaiah 33:2
Some mornings I don’t start strong. You know that kind of day. The hours loom empty of meaning, or full of struggles. Both can cause me to lose heart. Isaiah says the antidote to discouragement is to wait on the Lord. Every morning his strong arm is there to rescue me in every time of trouble.
Good advice for staying spiritually strong. I like the twist I once saw on the Humpty Dumpty poem. “All the Kings horses and all the King’s men couldn’t put Humpty together again — but the King could.” “... casting all your anxieties on him for he cares for you” 1 Peter 5:7.

Dear Father, the life of every living thing is in your hand. Teach us to lean on your strong arm, all our days. In Jesus name. Amen.
