He put a new song in my mouth, a song of praise to our God. Many will see and fear, and put their trust in the Lord.
Psalm 40:3
Deep in the darkness of winter, I need to see seeds sprouting, so I plant herbs on the table. But as I write today, it’s May Day! The birds are serenading our sunny walk. I hear and see robins and mockingbirds, among others in the flowering trees. The birds’ chorus reminds me that we each have a song to sing. The Lord loves us and guides our song
all our lives. God gives us a wonderful variety of birds and people in our neighborhoods/communities. Sing, “Ho-ho-ho- hosanna!” with a youngster to brighten the short days of the colder months! Plant a seed! Celebrate that spring will soon come!

Dear Lord of Light, in the darkness of winter, you are my song. Let your song of light spread your love and joy to others so they put their trust in you. Amen.
Reflect: Share photos and memories that put a song of praise in your heart! Make some new ones too!
