Addressing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody to the Lord with your heart ...
Ephesians 5:19
Are you one who sings? An ancient quote says, “The one who sings prays twice.”
I’ve recently been singing daily because my infant grandson is soothed to sleep, and song is a fun way to keep our conversation going.
The Bible is full of happy and sad songs. God invites us to join the never-ending song of salvation. May singing be an outpouring of your heart as it was for Jesus the night he was betrayed, Miriam when saved from slavery, Paul and Silas in prison, and David dancing with abandon down the streets of his kingdom. God quiets us with his love and exults over us with loud singing (Zephaniah 3:17). Like me, you don’t need to sing well to make a joyful noise to the Lord.
