Serve the Lord with gladness! Come into his presence with singing!

Psalm 100:2

We all like to be served. We enjoy it when we can go to a restaurant and not have to cook or clean for ourselves, but how much do we enjoy serving?

I have been on too many servant events and mission trips to count. It is often hot, sweaty, and tiring work, but I love it! I often take junior and senior high school kids along with me, and they love it too!

How can such exhausting work be enjoyable? How can we be serving the Lord with gladness when we’re all dirty and worn out? We can because it is service to the Lord. We can because the most satisfying work we can do is always about serving the Lord whether it is for other humans or not.
