“... and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.”
Matthew 28:19
There it is, smack-dab in front of me — my baptismal certificate. A few years ago, my husband gathered our family’s baptismal certificates, had them professionally framed and gave them back to us. Mine hangs on the wall above my desk. What wonders are described within that little frame! Constantly I am reminded I am God’s child. I am forgiven. The Holy Spirit dwells in me. I’m washed clean and born again. I had parents who took me to church and sponsors who promised to tell me all about Jesus’ love. I have a Savior who will take me to heaven someday to live with him forever. And all of this was proclaimed in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. What wonders are done with water and the Word.

O God, renew me daily in my baptism. Amen.
Reflect: Can you find your baptismal certificate and place it in a prominent place?
