Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.

Planning Christian events can be difficult if we permit it. Often events start to please a spouse, a family member, or members of the church. One can forget the most important point. Trying to obey may cause the correct message to be completely missed. Take for example when one wishes to show tenderheartedness, forgiveness, and compassion. The thankful, loving words may not come when needed.

For me, as a pastor, I pray for the correct words to say when comforting someone who has lost a loved one. The correct words do not always come. I recall a mourner consoling me by saying, just the fact that you are here, Pastor, says more than any words you may utter.

The show of loving service to those in need may, many times, be done without words.
