Lord, you have been our dwelling place in all generations.
Psalm 90:1
My childhood home is now a “Michigan Centennial Farm,” purchased by my great grandparents in 1921. My brother and sister-in-law are fourth-generation farm owners. God has sustained our family in hardship and blessed us in good years.
In the hymn, we sing, “O God, our help in ages past, Our hope for years to come, Be Thou our guard while life shall last And our eternal home!”
God has provided for our needs, especially through the sacrifice of his Son to save us. Jesus promised, “I am with you always” (Matthew 28:20). And he will one day take us to our eternal home.

Father, you have been our dwelling place in all generations. Assure us today that you are with us through your Son, and that one day he will take us to our eternal home. Amen.
Reflect: Rejoice in God’s promise to be “our eternal home.”
