Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men. ... You are serving the Lord Christ.
Colossians 3:23-24
Why am I here? What am I called to do? Familiar questions, likely having been asked a time or two in your lifetime. But if it’s been a while since you last asked, perhaps it’s time to ask yet again. After all, that was then, and this is now. You are a new sum of life experiences, you might have more discretionary time, and you are probably more aware of your gifts and capabilities.
In other words, you are never too old to ask. Most certainly, you are never too old to serve. While it might seem humbler and be markedly different than before, when done to God’s glory, your serving will be just as important.

Gracious Lord, open my eyes and my heart to new ways to serve others in your name and to your glory. Amen.
Reflect: What can I do to be the hands and feet of Jesus today?
