The Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you.
John 14:26
To relieve my back pain, I searched the internet for exercises. After exercising for several weeks, I was no better, maybe worse! Finally, I saw my doctor who prescribed physical therapy. My therapist not only implemented the correct exercises but trained me to do them properly. My pain improved drastically when I left it to the pro to treat me. When it comes to my life as a Christian, the same lesson applies. Rather than trying to solve problems myself, I need to leave it to the pro — the Holy Spirit who teaches all things. He leads me to exercise my faith in Jesus, which strengthens me for all of life’s challenges. And lest I forget, God provides me with his Word for daily training to confront this painful world with faith and hope in Jesus.

Jesus, fill me with your Holy Spirit, that I may walk upright in faith, hope, and love. Amen.
Reflect: Before engaging the day, pray for the Holy Spirit’s guidance, then take his lead.
