Oh, the depth of the riches of the wisdom and knowledge of God!

Romans 11:33a

As I write this devotion, I am celebrating a BIG birthday. In two weeks, I will be having a BIG back surgery. Big events like these call for a big God. We have a God who carries us through these celebrations as well as challenging times. God knows what we need at ALL times.

In Deuteronomy 31:6, the writer reminds us that God “will never leave you nor forsake you.” This promise gets us through the big stuff. Those words will carry me through the coming months of recuperation.

Today the preschoolers at church reminded me as they sang, “My God is so big, so strong and so mighty. There’s nothing my God cannot do.” Those are good words at any age!
