“Which commandment is the most important of all?”
Mark 12:28b
My wife often says, “You ask too many questions!” She is right, but I enjoy listening to people’s responses.
Jesus also liked to ask questions. In fact, some Biblical scholars say Jesus asked over three hundred questions in the New Testament. Questions such as, “And which of you by being anxious can add a single hour to his span of life?” or “Who do you say that I am?”
Jesus was also questioned. The scribes asked, “Which commandment is the greatest?” Jesus’ response gives purpose to our lives, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the great first commandment. And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”

Lord, I experience your love daily. Help me share it with others. Amen.
Reflect: See if a friend and you can think of, or find, ten questions Jesus asked.
