Lord, you have been our dwelling place in all generations.
Psalm 90:1
What’s your “family home?” For me, it’s where I had my own room, where Mom did so much cooking, where we had a tree house and the wishing well Grandpa built. Over the years, five generations of us gathered there.
I love how Psalm 90 calls God “our dwelling place” — our shelter, where we gather and are nourished, where we play and rest, a place which we and uncounted generations call “home.”
However good or bad our own dwelling places, we have a better one. In this life and the next, we dwell in the arms of our heavenly Father, thanks to his Son Jesus, who made his dwelling among us (John 1:14).

Lord, thank you for giving me a perfect dwelling place with you. Help me to invite others, of all generations, to live with us here! Amen.
Reflect: Spend a few minutes picturing Jesus’ return as the biggest and best “family reunion.”
