I was glad when they said to me, “Let us go into the house of the Lord!”
Psalm 122:1
Are you able to multi-task? Anytime you enter the house of the Lord to worship, you are challenged to do dual action. Action one is corporate worship with your brothers and sisters in Christ. Action two is to realize the worship components are for you. Many of the words in worship are plural. “WE begin OUR worship ... We pray, OUR Father ...” When you are in a corporate worship setting, you must accept that the components of worship are also meant for ME. I accept the words of absolution: “YOUR sins are forgiven.” I boldly confess, “I believe in the Trinity.” God is speaking to ME in the sermon. When the benediction is spoken, the pastor is blessing ME. In corporate worship God is also talking to YOU.

Dear Lord, thank you for relating to me on a personal basis and granting me a private audience with you. Amen.
Reflect: How different is your corporate worship when God speaks to you on a one-on-one basis?
