Baptism, which corresponds to this, now saves you, not as a removal of dirt from the body ...
1 Peter 3:21
I often go bike riding in my neighborhood. When I decided to take a shortcut through the woods, my bike got stuck in the mud and down I went. There I was, completely covered with mud from head to toe.
I managed to get home and had my wife hose me and my bike down with water. Standing there dripping wet reminded me of my baptism. Eighty years ago, I was also made clean, not from mud, but from sin.
The big difference between then and now is that baptism not only washed me clean on February 6, 1944, but it washes me clean of my sin daily through the blood of Jesus Christ, my Savior.

Dear Father, thank you for sending your Son to save me from my sins. Amen.
Reflect: Remember your baptism daily.
