But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
1 Corinthians 15:57
It’s the standard farewell of every salesclerk and Walmart greeter — “Have a good day!” And our automatic response is generally, “Thank you.”
God awakens us each morning with this same greeting. Through the wonders of creation, he has given us body and soul, reason and senses, and all that we need to support this body and life. On the day that was so good the world still calls it Good Friday; he gave his only Son to die in our place. Through Jesus’ death and resurrection, we live as his redeemed children now and in eternity.
Our “Thank you” for all God has done for us requires more than an automatic response. We thank him through lives of praise, obedience, and service.

Lord, for all you have done, we thank you, especially for sending Jesus as our Savior. Amen.
Reflect: Thanking God leads us to thanks others. How can you live your life as a Thank You?
