When they saw the star, they rejoiced exceedingly with great joy.
Matthew 2:10
I’ll never forget the day our first grandchild was born. It was January 6. We both felt overwhelming joy, and we could hardly wait to meet her! We celebrate all four of our grandkids’ birthdays. Someone once said, “If I had known how wonderful it would be to have grandchildren, I’d have had them first.”
On January 6 each year, many Christ followers celebrate the first Epiphany, when wise men from eastern lands followed a star to Bethlehem, believing the prophecy that it revealed the birthplace of a king. Like those wise men, all who come to Jesus are filled with great joy at knowing that he is our King, who has come to save us.
