For the foolishness of God is wiser than men ...
1 Corinthians 1:25a
“How many legs does a dog have if you call the tail a leg? Four. Calling a tail a leg doesn’t make it one.” - Abraham Lincoln.
Today many “tails” are being called “legs” and people are falling for it. This foolishness brings pain and regret. The greatest folly is observing others and believing we are good, so the odds are in our
favor when we approach the pearly gates. This is self- righteously judging ourselves “better” than most. Scripture reveals that God sees, “all have sinned and fall short ...” Fortunately, God decided on a great exchange making his son, Jesus, “who knew no sin to BE sin so that in him (Jesus), we might become the righteousness of God.” This is God’s foolishness and our salvation. Trusting in Jesus makes our odds of heaven 100%.

Dear God, help us embrace your foolishness rather than man’s wisdom. Amen.
Reflect: Spend time pondering God’s grace to us, then share that grace.
