For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them.
Matthew 18:20
There appears to be a trend regarding corporate worship in churches. During the pandemic some parishioners got used to worshiping via electronic means. Unfortunately, that habit has continued and quite a number have not returned to worshiping in the presence of fellow members of God’s body of believers.
To be sure, on-line worship is a definite blessing to those who are unable to attend church. In fact, I was privileged to serve as host for 25 years for the television program “Worship for Shut-ins” now known as “Worship Anew.” But for those who can, what a gift it is to gather with fellow believers. We need each other. We need your face. We need your voice. We need your wisdom and profession of faith.
Coming together to praise the Lord for his goodness is pure joy!

Lord, thank you for the opportunity to worship you alongside your beloved children. Amen.
Reflect: What a comfort it is to hear, “The peace of Jesus be with you!”
