Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.”
Ephesians 4:32
Frequent flyers and loyal shoppers often receive rewards for doing business. Those rewards are based on miles flown or dollars spent. In other words, you get something for giving something. As welcome as such incentives are, we thank and praise God that he doesn’t use such a business model. Instead, he gives freely of the forgiveness that Jesus earned with his perfect life, sacrificial death, and victorious resurrection.
Knowing all that, don’t you just want to be a frequent forgiver? Jesus commanded us to forgive as we have been forgiven, and we gladly obey by serving up heaping portions of grace and mercy to others.

Dear Jesus, make me eager to forgive others as you forgive me. Help me to become a “Frequent Forgiver.” Amen.
Reflect: Think of the blessings you experience when you forgive others.
