Go therefore and make disciples of all nations ... teaching them to observe all I have commanded you ...
Matthew 28:19-20
Jesus’ directive at the end of Matthew’s Gospel is a tall order, especially for us shy people. I have discovered a lot of different ways for shy people to “go therefore and make disciples.” One of my favorites, that our whole family participates in at holiday time, is weathergrams. We cut tags from paper bags, add messages with waterproof pens, and tie them to the branches of our willow tree next to the road. Passersby can’t miss them. We hung these at Christmas: Welcome Baby Jesus!, See in the manger our Savior and King, The Savior of the world is born! For Easter: Every morning is Easter morning, I know that my Redeemer lives, He’s risen, He’s risen, Christ Jesus, my Lord. This year we might add Valentine’s Day weathergrams: God loves us with an everlasting love — that says it all.

Dear Father, give me your ideas and the courage to tell others about your love for us. Amen.
Reflect: Think of creative ways to tell others the Good News.
