Endurance and Encouragement

Therefore encourage one another with these words.

1 Thessalonians 4:18

Growing up, I was frequently asked the question “Did you hear me?" And as a parent, I likewise asked the same question. That really isn’t a new question either because that word “hear” occurs almost 2,000 times in Scripture.

Perhaps you, too, learned “God is Love” as your first Bible passage committed to memory. And we may, at times, not acknowledge or feel his love, but his love IS steadfast and enduring. You may also have a list of other Bible passages from your Hope-Full living devotions and even underline meaningful words. As we grow in the knowledge of HIS Word, let us faithfully endure and encourage one another according to his instruction.

William Balke
Happy Valley, OR

Dear Lord, may I continually grow in faith and knowledge according to your instructing words. Send your Holy Spirit as I share your words of encouragement with others. Amen.

Reflect: Share your favorite Bible passages of encouragement with those around you.

Read: Romans 5:1-5 and Romans 15:5
