“The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.”
Matthew 26:41b
There are days when I am tired or lazy, busy with small things. I know I am God’s hands and feet. But I convince myself that today is my day to do nothing.
My energy is spirit-filled to go out into the world and do your will. I want to clothe the naked and feed the hungry. I want shoulders strong enough to stand on, yet soft enough to cry on. Some days I am caught in the temptation to want my thoughts and actions to be about me. On these days, when my flesh is weak, fill me with your Spirit to be awakened to the needs of others.

Dear Father, teach me how to get the most out of each day. When I want to dance a soft and quiet two-step, send me your Spirit to show me how to dance a wild and woolly tango. Amen.
Reflect: Ponder your day’s activities. How did you fill your hours? Did you make a difference?
