Wisdom is with the aged, and understanding in length of days.
Job 12:12
I enjoyed my long career in the high-tech industry. Then, at work one day, I witnessed EMTs placing an ill and younger office colleague of mine in an ambulance.
We had just left a meeting. He had then gone back to his desk, where he collapsed. He never returned to work.
I felt that God was trying to tell me something. I knew that it was time for me to make a change. I was healthy for my age, so I retired.
Seniors can receive many unexpected blessings. One is that they realize what is important. This can include spending more time with family, making new friends, trying something new, or volunteering in their church or community. One of the blessings of aging is wisdom.

Dear Father, let me age gracefully so that I may help other seniors understand that their days ahead can be fulfilling. Amen.
Reflect: How is God allowing you to pursue a lifelong dream or to change your priorities?
