... Put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony.
Colossians 3:14
In my mirror, I see a face like a canvas onto which the artist of time has drawn lines of joy, grief, awe, worry, and love. The lines of joy reflect a woman who trusted enough to laugh with the world while also chuckling at her own foibles. Through the contours of grief, I see how courageously that woman persevered through the darkness as the Lord guided her back into the light.
The brushstrokes of awe remind me of the great expansiveness, beauty, and gratitude the woman in the mirror experienced. And while the worry lines make me sigh and give pause for the future, the love lines that interconnect it all make me see the totality of the woman I am and was.

Dear Lord, thank you for helping me feel at peace with who I am becoming. Amen.
Reflect: Looking through the eyes of God, what do you appreciate most about your “canvas”?
