Listen diligently to me, and eat what is good, and delight yourselves in rich food.
Isaiah 55:2
Rich foods? Eating what you like? And throw in no charge! Just add a barrel of anti-acids for when reality settles in.
Isaiah’s invitation wasn’t literal. His people constantly yearned for a place that had abundant food and water — a scarce commodity in that part of the world. But what if the prophet wasn’t talking about real food. What if he meant their relationship with God?
What do you desire in worldly pleasures? How does it compare with spiritual pleasures? Is it not a diet rich in forgiveness? Isn’t it a diet of serving the Savior and neighbors however you’re able?
You’ve got it all. The Holy Spirit has fed and continues to feed your faith. And it’s all free!

Dear Father, thank you for providing me a diet rich in grace. Amen.
Reflect: How can contributing to a local food pantry remind you of what Jesus did for you?
