All of our viewers, readers, donors, and volunteers should have a will, a Power of Attorney, and an Advanced Healthcare Directive. Regardless of how big or small you think your “estate” may be, Worship Anew wants to provide resources to help you to be good stewards of what God has entrusted to you by preparing for the future before it is too late to make your wishes known and legal.
However, we recognize that there are barriers to getting these things done. Perhaps the cost is seen as too high, or you just don’t know where to start.
To help you take that next step, Worship Anew is participating in the national “Write a Will” month. If you are willing to include a gift to charity like the ministry of Worship Anew in that will, we can provide the resources to help you complete these documents for free! We also pray that going through this process will provide an opportunity for you to share your plans with your family, since we also know that these sorts of discussions can be difficult to initiate for most people.
If you live in the greater Fort Wayne area, we will have attorneys willing to create these documents with pre-set appointments during the month of August. Contact us at (888)286-8002 or legacy@worshipanew.org to find an appointment that works best for your schedule. If you live in other parts of the country, please contact us, and we can help to find a suitable attorney in your area.
Please note that if your situation requires more advanced work than a typical simple will, the attorney will advise you of any potential costs if a discounted fee may be required to complete your wishes. For most families, however, the simple or typical documents are sufficient and will be free if you include a charitable bequest in your plans.
Feel free to contact us with any questions. We also encourage you to watch our video, “Estate Planning: Why to Do It and Why to Keep it Updated,” at WorshipAnew.org/estate-video for additional insights on why to have a will and why to keep it updated.
Have you already included Worship Anew in your estate plans, such as your will, your retirement accounts, an insurance policy, your home, or specific collectibles?
If so, THANK YOU! Would you be willing to let us know? By informing us of your intent, we can ensure that your gifts will benefit the programs that mean so much to you. We know that plans may change, but by knowing ahead of time, we can ensure your wishes are met on our end.
