This Independence Day, we hope that you have a safe and blessed time. Here are some ideas and activities for Fun on your Fourth.
► Create a time capsule. Add photos and handwritten notes about current events.
► Visit a local war memorial in your town. If allowed, leave flowers or notes of thanks for their service.
► Have a family potluck. Encourage everyone to bring their favorite family recipe.
► Gather the family together and attend a local sporting event such as a baseball game.
► Load up the firepit. Enjoy a bonfire with the grandkids and roast marshmallows or make s’mores.
► Grab your bag chairs and attend a local music festival in your town.
► Head downtown to enjoy your town’s Independence Day parade.
► Make it a day of giving. Assemble care packages for military service members who are stationed overseas. Include a note of gratitude.
► Have a family photo shoot. Create a festive backdrop. Stop by the dollar store and pick up inexpensive props to make memorable family photo keepsakes.
► Scout out the best spot in town to enjoy the evening fireworks. Reminisce about the Independence Days of your youth.
