Continued growth for Worship Anew has opened the doors for new staff and exciting new changes with positions.
Over the past year, Worship Anew has been able to expand its resources for aging adults, which created new staffing positions for the ministry.
Those added and restructured positions for the staff include:
Jon Dize, Director of Operations and Legacy Giving
Jon Dize, CFRE, joined the ministry in October 2023 as the Director of Operations and Legacy Giving. In this role, he oversees the day-to-day financial operations of the organization, including budgets, accounts payable/receivables, benefit plans, and policies/procedures. He will also develop and manage the administration of planned giving/estate gifts on behalf of the ministry with donors across the country. He has worked in the nonprofit sector since 1991. With more than 30 years of experience, he has been on staff with K-12 Lutheran School associations, School Choice tax-credit systems, health care-related entities, and higher education institutions and has served in roles ranging from Executive Director, Director of Major Gifts, and Director of Planned Giving. He and his family attend Promise Lutheran Church in Fort Wayne, Ind., where he is a former elder and former vice-chair of the board.
Julie Beers, Major Gifts Officer
Julie Beers has been with the ministry since 2010. She previously worked in the role of Director of Operations and is now serving as the Major Gifts Officer. Julie loves people and sharing the love of Jesus with each encounter.
Renee Schuller, Care Ministry Specialist
Renee Schuller has moved into the role of Care Ministry Specialist. Renee has worked at the ministry as a Receptionist and Donor Database Specialist. She holds a master’s degree from Concordia Theological Seminary-Fort Wayne and is currently studying to earn her deaconess certification with Worship Anew as her deaconess internship.
“We are excited to welcome Jon Dize to the ministry with the wealth of experience that he can offer to help engage and equip aging adults with resources to live a full and abundant life in Jesus Christ, and we are blessed to have Julie Beers and Renee Schuller continue with Worship Anew in these new roles, which are utilizing their unique skills to further the ministry in new ways,” said Matthew Leighty, executive director.
