The LORD is faithful in all his words and kind in all his works.
Psalm 145:13b
Faithful words and kind works are God’s gifts to His people. Many seniors, with lengthy life experience, know this to be true. We hear Jesus in John 14:10, declaring that His words come directly from the Father. We hear Jesus in John 14:11, affirming that His works can lead a person to believe.
As God keeps on blessing us with long life, we pray with Psalm 19:14a, “Let the words of my mouth … be acceptable in your sight, O LORD.” We hear Jesus in John 9:4a, “We must work the works of him who sent me while it is day.” Most of all, we desire that our words and works always point to God’s faithful words of promise and to His kindest work of all — sending Jesus to save us from sin and, through faith, to make us righteous and fit for heaven.

Father in heaven, send Your Spirit to guide my words and works. Amen.
