… I have learned, in whatever situation I am to be content.
Philippians 4:11b
Have you ever noticed that when we let things go — our worries, wants, fears — we end up being happier? What did we expect? The Creator knows His creature’s needs.
Or, after going through a time of trial, prayerfully trusting in the Lord, we emerge more resilient, confident in our faith and life? What did we expect? Our Lord Jesus, who knew fully human suffering in His earthly life, stands beside us with His good Spirit, comforting and strengthening.
Like the lilies of the field, we continue to blossom throughout our earthly days to the glory of God and under His care.
Being content is not settling for less. It’s simply receiving, in full, the Father’s daily blessings. You’ll be surprised by the joy!
