And as for you, brothers and sisters, never tire of doing what is good.
2 Thessalonians 3:13 NIV
Facts are facts. We age. We change. We tend to think we can no longer be of service.
God extends to us both peace and joy to serve, and we can rest in that. But He also says, “Hey, just a minute; I’m not through using you as My voice, My hands, My feet.” Be active for Him. As you stroll with your walker down the halls of your living facility, hang a sign on it saying, “Jesus loves you, and so do I!” Greet the people He sets before you with a smile and “May the Lord bless your day.” Find ways to volunteer to serve.
His promise is clear: “But they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.”

Lord, show me what You want me to do for You and extend Your Spirit to allow me to do it. Amen.
Reflect: Gather with a group of family and friends and remind each other what gifts they have to serve.
