I thank him who has given me strength, Christ Jesus our Lord, because he judged me faithful, appointing me to his service.
1 Timothy 1:12
A favorite song of mine is “Friends” by Michael & Deborah Smith. It starts, “Packing up the dreams God planted in the fertile soil of you — I can’t believe the hopes He’s granted means a chapter in your life is through.” A new season is approaching in the life of our church in Glen Cove. As we say good-bye to our Pastor of ten years who accepted a Call to another church, our hearts are breaking to see him and his family leaving. Besides the seasons in the church year, a new chapter will open in the history of our church. Passing the baton is a lot easier when the Holy Spirit is leading the process through prayer, hard work, and trusting God’s leadership.
