O LORD, what is man that you regard him, or the son of man that you think of him?
Psalm 144:3
“Thinking of you” are words I often type when emailing my two sisters. We started keeping in touch every day years ago, when life was upended by rules, restrictions, and grim news due to COVID-19. Since we live far apart, the daily contact was (and still is) a comforting way to share joys and prayer needs.
While it’s reassuring to know that another person is thinking of us, how much more comforting is knowing that God Himself thinks of us? In Psalm 144:4, David marvels that even though human lives are small, “like a breath,” our majestic God in heaven thinks of us. God’s thoughts led Him graciously to send Jesus to save us from sin and open the door to heaven by faith. What a privilege to be in God’s thoughts.

Mighty Lord, as You think of me today, I am thinking of You with grateful praise. Amen.
Reflect: Let others know that God thinks of them and wants them to believe and be saved.
