The parts of the body that seem to be weaker are indispensable.
1 Corinthians 12:22b
Years ago, we lived in a farming community in southwest Oklahoma. During that time, I learned a few things about wheat, particularly, that the ideal harvest could not have too much or too little moisture. Since a farmer typically had crops falling in both deficient categories, he would mix them to achieve the perfect moisture level in order to yield the best quality, and the best price for his harvest.
Similarly, people who are part of Christ’s church have various deficiencies. Yet, even though we all have weaknesses, God’s people working together produce fruit of the best quality. That’s because Jesus has united us together into a perfect mix of people who make each other better as we serve Him and reap a harvest for His kingdom.

Jesus, though I am weak, thank You for making me an indispensable member of Your Body. Help me to use my strengths to lift up others as we bear fruit together. Amen.
Reflect: Consider how you, in spite of weaknesses, can work together with others to bear more fruit for Jesus.
