Therefore encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing.
1 Thessalonians 5:11
When I was very young, I once became upset with my mother. “I’m going to run away,” I said to her.
After a few minutes, my wise mother said in a calm voice, “Can I help you pack?” That surprised me and made me feel even more frustrated. “Where are you going?” she asked me. I did not answer her because I had not thought about that. I then realized how much I would miss my parents, sister, brothers, and friends. I quietly went to my room.
We find God through the faith, hope, and love of others who believe in Him. They encourage us and comfort us in our time of need — sometimes in ways that surprise or even frustrate us at first. We accompany each other on our spiritual journey home to Him.

Dear Lord, thank You for those who have blessed my life. These include family, friends, teachers, and church ministers. Amen.
Reflect: Consider offering leadership where you live, work, or worship. Who would benefit and how?
