Many are the plans … of a man, but it is the purpose of the Lord that will stand.
Proverbs 19:21
There are so many ways in our ageless Christian walk to serve the purposes of God. We can guide, listen, admonish, and comfort. There’s so much work that needs to be done in the kingdom. Where to start?
The good news — you’re already serving God’s purpose! Psychologists tell us that, at any given time, unknown to us, there are five or more people who are quietly trying to emulate some part of us. They don’t want to be just like us, but they do desire to be more like us in some way. What a great opening for the Holy Spirit! Working through our Christ-like behavior, he “calls, gathers, enlightens.” …
You are a part of God’s purpose, and his purpose will prevail. That’s for sure!

Lord Jesus, be the model for my life that I may be an example for others. Amen.
Reflect: Who were your models? How can you be a more intentional example of Christ?
