You also must help us by prayer, so that many will give thanks on our behalf for the blessing granted us through the prayers of many.
2 Corinthians 1:11
I never imagined a simple text-messaging group could bring such comfort, peace, and joy. Composed of five women providentially thrown together in an online Christian writers group, we soon became dear sisters. When someone suggested we start a text thread to share prayer requests, we jumped on it. Our text group has become a way to share prayer requests, praise reports, and important news. When a grandchild spikes a fever, everyone prays for healing. When one of us travels, we pray for safe passage. When someone struggles with grief, hurt, or disappointment, we rally around her in prayer, asking God to comfort her. Although we live in four different states and some of us have never met in person, we are united by the Holy Spirit, Christ’s love, and today’s technology. It’s a powerful combination.

Father, thank You for technology that can link our hearts in prayer. Amen.
Reflect: How can you use technology to help you pray?
