God is faithful, by whom you were called into the fellowship of his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.
1 Corinthians 1:9
There is strength in number — sometimes. Some species of lemmings migrate in massive numbers. Should they reach the sea, the momentum of the mass pushes many to their deaths. As many as 1.5 million wildebeests migrate yearly. When crossing crocodile-laden rivers, the more animals, the less likely any single one will be killed. But for many to be saved, some will die. Our fellowship, our strength, is not in many, or some, but in One. One Christ is enough. One death was enough. Our faithful God calls us into fellowship with Jesus in His death and resurrection. Since we are one in Christ, we are gathered into the community of shared fellowship through Jesus.
Our strength is in One — Jesus. Through the One, we are one in Him. Our fellowship is in Christ and so with one another. He is our true strength.
