And after the fire the sound of a low whisper.
1 Kings 19:12b
Snow, untrodden, a blanket of white, silent. Stillness. Of the many things I’ve learned about myself as I age, I know that I value solitude. In it I hear God (Psalm 46:10).
God first loved us (1 John 4:10), gave us his Son, and sent the Holy Spirit which prompts us to seek him. We can find him anywhere if we listen: our places of worship, our pastors, our brothers and sisters in Christ, our walks in God’s gardens, and most importantly immersion in his Word. The whisper will be there. God’s Word equips us all to tell his will for all mankind. May it go from our generation to the next, and the next, until Jesus comes again.

Dear Lord, the gift of your Son and your Word equip us for life here and hereafter. Help us pass it on. Amen.
Reflect: The miracle of connection between God and us, his creatures, is an everlasting gift. Let’s pass it on.
