Soul Salvation

I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore I have continued my faithfulness to you.

Jeremiah 31:3

How has the church survived all these years? By God’s great love and faithfulness for the salvation of bodies and souls.

God created all people in his image, including our hearts and souls. The Holy Spirit lives within us to lead us to know Christ. He draws us to his word where we learn of the assurance of God’s presence in all circumstances; he draws us to the church where we discover the comfort of like-minded believers who encourage us when we struggle with sin and grief. Christ alone gives us true rest for our souls.

Though we cannot see Jesus physically now, our risen Lord didn’t leave us to fend for ourselves in this life. God remains faithful and active in our lives because he loves us forever.

Denise Seaman

Lord, grant me comfort in a Christ-filled life pleasing to you. Amen.

Reflect: Read about God’s enduring love for the lives and souls of his children.

Read: Matthew 11:25-30 and 1 Peter 1:3-9
