But I saw none of the other apostles except James, the Lord’s brother.
Galatians 1:19
Isn’t it interesting that the Lord chose Paul, a once persecuting enemy of the church, to be one of the most influential apostles? In Acts 12:17, Peter says, “But motioning to them with his hand to be silent, he described to them how the Lord had brought him out of the prison and he said, ‘Tell these things to James and to the brothers.’”
The early church was in need. God chose Paul, a church’s persecutor, to proclaim God’s Grace. At first, the disciples were fearful of Saul, the persecutor, now a witness.
Remember, the Lord can use even the most unlikely people to share His message. In Paul’s 13 New Testament books, He shares the wonderful life that Christ created in himself and in us as well.
